My Membership in the Union of Natural Religion In joining the Union of Natural Religion, I, ___________________________________, acknowledge the Divine in everyone and everything, even if I can’t always see It. I can remember that It is here, now. Even if I forget, I can be reminded by anyone or anything that the Divine permeates all creation, all the time, everywhere. True spiritual or religious growth is the growth of our capacity to recognize the Divine in all its forms, including my own form (bodymindspirit), and in Its formlessness. In respecting my Divinity and the Divinity of others, I acknowledge that freedom is an essential attribute of Natural Religion. Natural Religion puts freedom as a basic value - freedom to think, to feel, to speak, and to act. In respecting the Divinity of others, I wish to do no harm to anyone or anything through my speech or my actions. In respecting the Divinity of others, I respect their right to whatever religious beliefs they hold. Everyone and everything is equally Divine, regardless or in spite of their beliefs or their depth of spiritual sleep. The climax of Natural Religion is spiritual awakening, when you realize experientially, not intellectually, that all is one infinite, inseparable, Divine whole. Up until that endpoint, spiritual awakening is a theory, with more or less actual support in one’s spiritual development. Simple belief in spiritual awakening contributes to staying asleep. I realize that Natural Religion has no codes of ethics, behaviors, laws, or demands. It is enough to see/feel the Divine in all. Right actions spontaneously arise from Divinity. Lacking the ability to see/feel the Divine in all, looking for it and remembering that it is there will also guide me to right action. I believe that Society’s laws should be followed, acknowledging the supremacy of the US Constitution in the United States of America. I realize mistakes are inevitable, by myself and by others. I take responsibility for my errors, and do not blame them on others. Mistakes are part of the learning process. I realize that love, prayer, and meditation are the most powerful tools for spiritual growth. I acknowledge that some herbs and foods, including marijuana/cannabis/hemp, put on the Earth by the Creator in His Divine Intelligence, have been used as sacraments for thousands of years, all over the Earth. These herbs and foods can be helpful in spiritual healing and in spiritual growth. These sacred herbs can also be used for healing purposes in cases of physical illness and injury and in some cases of mental illness. I acknowledge and hereby assert my right to use (or not use) marijuana/cannabis/hemp or any plant put on the Earth by the Creator as part of my natural rights as a member of the Union of Natural Religion, guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and as part of my inalienable rights endowed by the Creator, according to the Declaration of Independence.
